UPDC Plc will continue to work with our stakeholders because we recognise that we must integrate our business values and operations to meet their expectations. They include customers, employees, regulators, investors, suppliers, the community and the environment.
Our high-level aims are defined in five key areas:
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
Provide, and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe work environment, to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and those affected by our activities
QUALITY:
We shall provide the best possible products and services in line with global trends and standards.
OUR PEOPLE:
Create a shared culture and work ethic driven by strong leadership, offer employees clear and fair terms of employment and provide resources to enable continual development.
COMMUNITY:
Encourage dialogue with local communities to clarify policies and activities and enhance the company’s reputation through active stakeholder engagement aimed at delivering relevant projects with long lasting legacy.
CLIENTS
Ensure suppliers and contractors adopt responsible business policies and practice for mutual benefit, and uphold the values of honesty, partnership and fairness in our relationship with stakeholders.
The UPDC Board fully endorses and supports this policy, related policies and strategies.
Ownership of our Corporate Responsibility policy lies with the Managing Director.
The development of the strategy is supported by a corporate Responsibility Committee consisting of representatives from across the sectors in which we operate and external advisors.
Corporate Responsibility is the responsibility of all people within UPDC and will be part of our culture.
